Bee Curious +Plus Workshop

“The Hidden Physics of Pollenation”

We know curiosity doesn’t end when primary school does, it’s deepens.

The Backyard Remedy +Plus workshop is designed for students ready to explore science at a deeper level. Through the real-world example of pollination, students investigate electrostatic forces, vibration frequency and energy transfer, discovering how physics quietly powers one of nature’s most important processes.

Students rotate though guided live-observation of bees while completing structured analysis prompts that encourage prediction, reasoning and discussion.

The session supports the Western Australian curriculum outcomes and aligns with Years 8-10 Science Enquiry Skills, strengthening scientific thinking through authentic, hands-on learning.

Students leave with a greater respect for both science and the humble Honey Bee - Apis Mellifera.

Real bees. Cool science. Real discoveries.
